En una noche donde la estrategia y el temple se fusionaron sobre el diamante, Las Turquesas vinieron de atrás para vencer 3-2 a El Águila de Veracruz, colocándose a un solo triunfo de la Serie de la Reina. El Walmart Park fue testigo de un duelo de pitcheo que mantuvo a la afición al borde de sus asientos hasta el último out.
On a night where strategy and grit merged on the diamond, Las Turquesas came from behind to defeat El Águila de Veracruz 3-2, moving within a single win of the Serie de la Reyna. Walmart Park witnessed a pitching duel that kept the fans on the edge of their seats until the final out.
El conjunto veracruzano tomó la delantera en la tercera entrada gracias a un doblete productor de Stormy Kotzelnick y un elevado de sacrificio de Suzannah Brookshire. Parecía que la visita silenciaría el rugido regiomontano, estableciendo una ventaja temprana de dos carreras que ponía a prueba la resistencia local.
The Veracruz squad took the lead in the third inning thanks to an RBI double by Stormy Kotzelnick and a sacrifice fly by Suzannah Brookshire. It seemed the visitors would silence the Monterrey roar, establishing an early two-run lead that tested the home team’s resilience.
Sin embargo, la respuesta de la novena dirigida por Rafa Guzmán fue inmediata. However, the response from Rafa Guzmán’s squad was immediate. Baylee Klingler began the comeback with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the third, but the definitive moment arrived in the fifth inning when Klingler hit an RBI single to tie it, followed by Yanina Treviño drawing a bases-loaded walk to score the winning run.
Desde el centro del diamante, Payton Gottshall dictó una cátedra de pitcheo tras relevar en el cuarto episodio. Gottshall no permitió hits ni carreras y recetó seis ponches, anulando por completo la artillería de El Águila y asegurando el triunfo que pone a Monterrey con ventaja de 2-0 en la serie.
From the center of the diamond, Payton Gottshall delivered a pitching clinic after coming on in relief in the fourth inning. Gottshall allowed no hits or runs and struck out six, completely neutralizing El Águila’s bats and securing the victory that gives Monterrey a 2-0 series lead.
